You upgrade the additional vSphere Replication servers by using a downloadable ISO image.

Prerequisites

  • Download the VMware-vSphere_Replication-8.3.x.x-build_number.iso image from the vSphere Downloads page. Copy the ISO image file to a datastore that is accessible from the vCenter Server instance that you use with vSphere Replication.
  • You can directly upgrade to vSphere Replication 8.3, only if the version of vSphere Replication you currently run is 8.1 or 8.2.
  • If the vSphere Replication version that you run is not supported for direct upgrade to vSphere Replication 8.3, upgrade your vSphere Replication instance to version 8.1 or 8.2. For example, to upgrade vSphere Replication 6.5.1 to version 8.3, you must first upgrade 6.5.1 to 8.2 and then upgrade 8.2 to 8.3. For more information, see Upgrade Additional vSphere Replication Servers for vSphere Replication 8.2.
