VMware vRealize Orchestrator Plug-In for vSphere Replication 188.8.131.52 is a minor product patch release. The content of the VMware vRealize Orchestrator Plug-In for vSphere Replication 8.4 Release Notes applies to this version as well.
What's in the Release Notes
These release notes cover the following topics:
- The VMware vRealize Orchestrator Plug-in for VMware vSphere Replication 184.108.40.206 release adds support for VMware vRealize Orchestrator 8.4.x.
The Orchestrator Plug-In for vSphere Replication software requires vRealize Orchestrator 8.4, and vSphere Replication 8.4. For information on installing vRealize Orchestrator, see the vRealize Orchestrator documentation. For information on installing vSphere Replication 8.4, see Installing and Setting Up vSphere Replication in the VMware vSphere Replication documentation.
The Orchestrator Plug-In for vSphere Replication software is distributed as Orchestrator application file. Install and configure the plug-in by using the Orchestrator configuration interface. For more information on installing the Orchestrator Plug-In for vSphere Replication, see the VMware vRealize Orchestrator Plug-In for vSphere Replication 8.4 Release Notes.
Note: The vRealize Orchestrator user, which is used to register the vCenter Server sites in vRealize Orchestrator must have the privilege Sessions.ValidateSession and the VRM Administrator role (or all the privileges of the VRM Administor role). The user must have the privileges on all vCenter Server instances in the vRealize Orchestrator inventory, otherwise the vRealize Orchestrator Plug-in for vSphere Replication does not populate the vSphere Replication inventory objects in vRealize Orchestrator.
- NEW Target Datastore and Replication Details fields in the Configure Replication workflow do not load and the workflow fails with an error
If you are using vRealize Orchestrator 8.4.0 or 8.4.1 and you try to run the Configure Replication workflow, the Target Datastore and Replication Details fields do not load. If you click the Run button, the process fails with the following error:
Error performing external validation
Workaround: This issue is fixed in vRealize Orchestrator 8.4.2.
Workaround for vRealize Orchestrator 8.4.0 and 8.4.1: Use the vRealize Orchestrator scripting objects.
