NSX Edge Installation Methods

Install NSX Edge on an ESXi host using NSX Manager UI (recommended method), vSphere web client, or the vSphere command-line OVF tool.

NSX Edge Installation Methods

NSX Manager (recommended method to install an NSX Edge VM appliance only)	Ensure NSX Edge network requirements are met. See NSX Edge Installation Requirements. Create an NSX Edge transport node. See Create an NSX Edge Transport Node. Create an NSX Edge cluster. See Creazione di un cluster NSX Edge.
vSphere web client or vSphere command-line OVF tool	Ensure NSX Edge network requirements are met. See NSX Edge Installation Requirements. Choose vSphere web client or vSphere command-line OVF tool to install NSX Edge. (Web Client) Install NSX Edge on ESXi. See Installazione di un NSX Edge in ESXi tramite la GUI di vSphere. Bare Metal Server (Automated or Interactive mode via ISO file) or NSX Edge VM appliance	You can configure automated installation of NSX Edge on a bare metal server or install NSX Edge as a VM appliance using PXE. Note that PXE boot installation procedure is not supported on NSX Manager. Ensure NSX Edge network requirements are met. See NSX Edge Installation Requirements. Prepare PXE server.
