Configure Hardware Acceleration

Hardware acceleration can improve performance and reduce battery usage. By default, this functionality is disabled to avoid the breaking of VMware Remote Console by unstable graphic cards. You can enable it in the VMware Remote Console settings.

1. In a web browser, access vmrc://settings.
   If VMware Remote Console is already open, you can also access the settings through the menu.

   • On Windows, select VMRC > Preferences.
   • On Linux, select File > Remote Control Preferences.
2. On Windows or Linux, perform the following steps.
   • Select Hardware Acceleration.
   • Click OK.
