Global Defaults enable you to specify a credential for the resource type globally. You can assign existing credentials as global defaults or you can define the credentials in Application Transformer for VMware Tanzu, and assign it to a resource type. This is useful when a resource does not have an explicitly defined credentials.

Note: If a resource already has an explicitly defined credentials, Global Default does not override the credentials of that particular resource.
Application Transformer for VMware Tanzu supports following object types to assign default credentials:
  • vCenter
  • Oracle Accounts
  • Image Registry
  • vRealize Network Insight
  • Windows VM
  • Linux VM
