Connection

iDRAC hostname or IP address.

Important:

If the address of your Chassis Monitoring Console (CMC)is different than that of your iDRAC, you must list it in addition to your iDRAC if you wish for the Management Pack to return chassis metrics. See Creating an Adapter Instance (VxRail).

The Management Pack collects data via SNMPv2c or SNMPv3 via default port 161.

Important:

See Creating an Adapter Instance (VxRail) for information on supported host formats.

Credentials

SNMPv2c read-only community string -or- SNMPv3 User Name and Password

Important:

The Management Pack requires a least-privileged SNMP user account of read-only.

Important:

In order to retrieve alerts that are triggered directly by iDRAC/SNMP, the adapter instance must use SNMP v3.

Important:

vCenter credentials are required to create relationships to the ESXi host. To make the relationships between the monitored cluster/server and the ESXi host attached to it, the management pack must query the vSphere server API. To do this, configure the management pack with vCenter hostname and the credentials of a user with permissions to the hosts in vCenter. We recommend using the same credentials set as the VROps vSphere adapter for consistency.
