As an administrator, you can migrate your content packs from VMware Aria Operations for Logs to VMware Aria Operations for Logs (SaaS).

Prerequisites

Verify that you are logged in to the VMware Aria Operations for Logs (SaaS) web user interface as an administrator.

Procedure

  1. Log in to your VMware Aria Operations for Logs instance from which you want to export the content pack.
  2. Expand the main menu and click Content Packs.
  3. Select the content pack that you want to export.
  4. On the respective content pack page, select the gear icon and click Export.
  5. On the Export Content Pack window, select the items to export and update the displayed information, and click Export to download the .vlcp file.

    For example, the information displayed on the Export Content Pack window while downloading the Apache - CLF content pack:

  6. Log in to your VMware Aria Operations for Logs (SaaS) instance where you want to import the content pack.
  7. Expand the main menu and click Content Packs.
  8. Select the Private tab and click Import Content.
  9. On the Import Content window, select Import as content pack and click Select File to upload the .vlcp file.

  10. Click Import.

Results

The respective content pack is imported in your VMware Aria Operations for Logs (SaaS) instance.
