You can use the Router Interface page to get a detailed overview of your router interfaces available in VMware Aria Operations for Networks.

To access this page, search for Router Interface on the VMware Aria Operations for Networks home page. The search result lists all the router interfaces on VMware Aria Operations for Networks. Click the entity for which you want to view further details.

Section Details
Overview You see:
  • Key configurations and runtime properties of the router interface.
  • A list of VMs on the same network as this router interface.
  • A list of VMs on the same gateways as this router interface.
  • A list of VMs on same the network, but different gateways.
  • A list of other router interfaces which are on same network.
Alerts You see the problems and changes associated with the router interface.
Metrics

You see the following router interface metrics:

  • Rx packets - The average number of received packets during the time interval.
  • Network Max Tx Rate - The maximum rate at which the data is transmitted during the time interval.
  • Network Max Rx Rate - The maximum rate at which the data is received during the time interval.
  • Tx Packets - The average number of transmitted packets during the time interval.
  • Dropped Rx Packets - The average ratio of dropped received packets to total received packets.
  • Dropped Tx Packets - The average ratio of dropped transmitted packets to total transmitted packets.
  • Rx Bytes -The total number of bytes received over the router interface.
  • Tx Bytes -The total number of bytes transmitted over the router interface.
  • uRPF Drop Packets -The number of packets dropped at the router interface due to unicast reverse-path forwarding (uRPF).
    Note: The number of dropped packets is displayed in the metrics only if you are viewing the router interface details of an VMware NSX-T device and if the uRPF feature is enabled on the device.
