For VMware Aria Automation, the disaster recovery can be mainly divided in two parts, disaster recovery for VMware Aria Automation components and related services and disaster recovery for VMware Aria Automation managed VMs.

You may want to protect VMware Aria Automation components and its related services, VMware Aria Automation managed VMs, or both. Host renaming is not supported as part of the disaster recovery.

Note:

Disaster-recovery scenarios are not supported by VMware Aria Automation 8.0. Performing the disaster-recovery procedure might result in a non-functional VMware Aria Automation environment. The latest supported version of VMware Aria Automation is 7.6 and all 7.6 hotfix releases.
