Configuring VMware Aria Automation Components and Related Services

If you plan to protect VMware Aria Automation components and related services like load balancing and DNS records, you must configure these related services.

If you decide to change the IP addresses of the VMware Aria Automation VA nodes, you should follow the steps in Change IP Addresses Automatically, to automatically update the IP addresses after the recovery is completed.

Note: The IP address changes for VMware Aria Automation VA nodes and the name change for the load balancer at the recovery site are supported. However, changing hostnames and DNS names for the individual nodes are not supported.

If you have an external MS SQL database, you should protect the VM that contains the MS SQL database by using Site Recovery Manager. If the MS SQL database VM that is associated with VMware Aria Automation contains other databases, keep in mind that these databases may be affected at the time of recovery and plan to protect these databases as per your site policy.
