You can configure the load balancer that is used with your VMware Aria Automation system. The F5 load balancer is used as an example in this document, however you can use similar load balancer of your choice.

You should not change the IP addresses for the load balancer, so that the load balancer responds when the environment moves to the recovery site.

If you change the IP addresses of the virtual machines, you can configure the load balancer to be a combination of all active and inactive IP addresses at the same time. It is important that you set up appropriate health monitors. Even if you are able to ping the protected and recovery sites without setting up health monitors, you might still see some issues. The following example shows how the VMware Aria Automation virtual appliances were configured.
