This section covers the specific configuration for the RADIUS health monitor type.

For Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service (RADIUS) applications, you can monitor the server health using the RADIUS request and response. You can generate the RADIUS requests using the password, username, and secret. The server status will be marked Up only if the RADIUS response is Access-Accept or Access-Challenge. Otherwise, the server will be marked Down.

To create a new RADIUS health monitor, click Create button. Select the RADIUS option from the drop-down list of the Type field. The following screen is displayed:



You can specify the following details related to RADIUS settings:

  • Username — Specify the user name. RADIUS monitor will query the RADIUS server with this username.

  • Password — Specify the password. RADIUS monitor will query the RADIUS server with this password.

  • Shared Secret — Specify the shared secret. RADIUS monitor will query the RADIUS server with this shared secret.
