Avi Load Balancer Controller must be clustered across different failure domains such as multiple hosts, racks, top of rack switches to achieve management plane redundancy.

For more information on configuring the Controller cluster, see Deploying a Controller Cluster.

Avi Load Balancer Controller Sizing

Avi Load Balancer Controller footprint determines the number of virtual services, the number of Service Engines, and the collection of metrics and analytics.

For more information on the latest sizing, see Sizing Service Engines section in VMware Avi Load BalancerConfiguration Guide. The x-86 servers can be of different sizes in terms of CPU, memory, disks, and so on.

Designing Service Engine

Single core Service Engine can perform as specified. Performance is linearly proportional to the number of cores. (Hypervisor type, network interfaces, and, so on.).

For more information on the latest sizing, see see Sizing Service Engines section in VMware Avi Load BalancerConfiguration Guide.
