This section provides an installation overview for App Control, including preparation requirements and instructions for upgrading App Control from a previous version.
You may receive additional upgrade documentation from your Carbon Black Support representative, and, if so, you should have it available for the upgrade process.
The separate VMware Carbon Black App Control Operating Environment Requirements document for this release provides guidelines for hardware and software required for App Control. Your environment must meet these requirements before you begin the procedures described in this document.
The App Control Console includes a System Health Page that provides reports on the state of your system. A prime purpose of these indicators is to monitor compliance with the Operating Environment Requirements and report any non-compliance so that you can remedy it. See “Monitoring System Health” in VMware Carbon Black App Control User Guide for more information.
