Before performing the upgrade, you should review the following and perform any applicable tasks. Check Supported Upgrade PathsBefore upgrading the App Control Server, be sure that your existing server is at a version listed in the supported upgrade paths in the requisite version of the Release Notes. Backup the App Control Server DatabaseYou must backup the App Control Server database before running the server installer to do an upgrade. Some failures of the database portion of the server upgrade are non-recoverable, and if you haven’t backed up recently, you will lose data. Disable Software Deployment MechanismsBefore commencing the server upgrade, please disable any software deployment mechanisms, such as SCCM, used to distribute App Control Agent.
