The VMware Carbon Black team is pleased to announce the general availability of the 8.7.10 Carbon Black App Control Linux Agent.
6 January 2023 Update:
A performance issue has been discovered in the App Control 8.7.10 Linux agent. This issue may cause prolonged high CPU consumption, resulting in poor performance on supported Linux operating systems. At this time, there is no workaround.
For those customers on previous Linux agents, we recommend that you do NOT upgrade to the 8.7.10 Linux agent to avoid this performance issue.
We are working on a resolution to this issue and will update this post when we have more information.
VMware encourages customers to always update to the latest versions of VMware software to benefit from security and stability improvements.
The Carbon Black App Control v8.7.10 Linux Agent is a maintenance release.
- The App Control Linux Agent now supports RHEL 9.
- The App Control Linux Agent now signs the RPM with the SHA2-based key.
