To assign Admin or Analyst roles to ServiceNow users, perform the following procedure.
Procedure
- Log in to your ServiceNow instance.
- Go to Organization > Users and click the Users module.
- Click the name of the user to whom to assign roles.
- Scroll down to the Roles tab. Click Edit.
- Select the required role from the Collection and move it to the Roles list.
- Assign
x_vmw_cb_connector.admin
to Administrators of the Carbon Black Cloud app. Users who have this role can configure the applications and do everything an analyst can.

x_vmw_cb_connector.analyst1
, x_vmw_cb_connector.analyst2
, or x_vmw_cb_connector.analyst3
for other users of the Carbon Black Cloud app. Users who have these roles can create tickets and perform actions in the integration. They can view the configuration.
