Starting with VMware Cloud Director 10.6, you can use the Service Provider Admin Portal to manage your imported NSX edge clusters in a centralized location.

You can import an NSX edge cluster into VMware Cloud Director only once. You cannot import NSX Data Center for vSphere edge clusters.

Prerequisites

Verify that an NSX Manager instance with at least one edge cluster is registered with your VMware Cloud Director instance. For more information on NSX edge clusters, see NSX Installation Guide.

Procedure

  1. From the primary left navigation panel, select Resources, and from the page top navigation bar, select Infrastructure Resources.
  2. From the secondary left navigation panel, under NSX-T, select NSX-T Edge Clusters.
The list displays the imported edge clusters, if there are any.
  3. Click Import.
  4. Enter a name and, optionally, a description for the imported edge cluster, and click Next.
  5. Select the NSX Manager on which you created the edge cluster that you want to import.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Select an edge cluster to import to VMware Cloud Director.
The list displays edge clusters that are in NSX Manager but are not already imported into VMware Cloud Director.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Review the NSX edge cluster information and click Finish.
