You can use the Service Provider Admin Portal to grant to your sub-providers NSX edge clusters.
Starting with VMware Cloud Director 10.6, organizations can have sub-provider rights and capabilities that allow them to manage their own tenants. See Overview of VMware Cloud Director Administration. As a service provider, you can grant resources to your sub-providers that they can manage. One of the resources you can grant are NSX edge clusters.
You cannot grant NSX Data Center for vSphere backed edge clusters to sub-provider organizations.
You can also use the VMware Cloud Director Tenant Portal to grant NSX edge clusters to a sub-provider organization. You can start the wizard by selecting Administration from the primary left navigation panel, and from the secondary left panel, select NSX-T Edge Clusters.
Prerequisites
- Verify that your VMware Cloud Director deployment has at least one imported NSX edge cluster. See Import Your NSX Edge Clusters to VMware Cloud Director.
- Verify that your VMware Cloud Director deployment has at least one sub-provider organization. See Create a VMware Cloud Director Organization.
