If you had vRealize Automation in your pre-upgrade environment, you must upgrade it.

Prerequisites

  • Download the vRealize Automation upgrade bundle. See Downloading Bundles.
Note: All vRealize Suite upgrades are sequential. You may have to download and apply multiple bundles, depending on the current product versions in your environment.
  • Increase the CPU, memory, and storage as per the system requirements of the version of vRealize Automation listed in the VMware Cloud Foundation BOM. For more information, see "Hardware Requirements" in the vRealize Automation Reference Architecture Guide for the version of vRealize Automation to which you are upgrading.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the Updates/Patches tab of the management domain.
  2. Run the upgrade precheck. See Perform Update Precheck.
  3. In the Available Updates section, click Update Now or Schedule Update next to the vRealize Automation bundle.
  4. If you selected Schedule Update, select the date and time for the bundle to be applied.
After the upgrade is completed, a green bar with a check mark is displayed.
  5. Click Finish.

What to do next

During the vRealize Automation upgrade process, SDDC Manager creates snapshots of the virtual machines. After the operational verification of the upgraded vRealize Automation cluster, use the vSphere Client to delete the virtual machines snapshots.

Upgrade Workspace ONE Access or continue upgrading the management domain. See Upgrade the Management Domain to VMware Cloud Foundation 4.3.
