Shut Down VMware Live Cyber Recovery Connector Appliances for Cloud-Based Ransomware Recovery for VMware Cloud Foundation

To gracefully power off the VMware Live Cyber Recovery Connector appliances, use the vCenter Server user interface.

If you shut down the entire management domain, you start with the VMware Live Cyber Recovery Connector appliances. For the full-stack shutdown order of VMware Cloud Foundation, see Shutting Down VMware Cloud Foundation.

Procedure

1. Log in to the management domain vCenter Server at https://<management_vcenter_server_fqdn>/ui by using an account with Administrator privileges.

2. In the VMs and templates inventory, expand the management domain vCenter Server tree and expand the management domain data center.

3. Navigate to the VMware Live Cyber Recovery Connector appliance in the inventory.

4. Right-click the virtual machine and select Power > Shutdown Guest OS.

5. In the confirmation dialog box, click Yes.

6. Repeat the process for all VMware Live Cyber Recovery Connector appliances.
