Scale up VMware Aria Operations for Logs for Intelligent Logging and Analytics for VMware Cloud Foundation

To scale up VMware Aria Operations for Logs, you use the VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle Vertical Scale Up option.

Procedure

1. Log in to VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle at https://<aria_suite_lifecycle_fqdn> as vcfadmin@local.
2. On the My services page, click Lifecycle operations.

3. In the navigation pane, click Environmens.

4. On the Environmens page, locate your environment with VMware Aria Operations for Logs and click View details.

5. In the VMware Aria Operations for Logs pane, click the ellipsis and select Vertical Scale Up.

6. In the Proceed to Vertical Scale Up dialog box, select the check box, click Trigger Inventory Sync, and wait for the completion of the process.

7. Verify the inventory sync is Complete and click Proceed.

8. On the Select nodes page, select Default and click Next.

9. On the Vertical Scale-up details page, from the Scale up size drop-down menu, select the desired size.
10. To increase the additional disk size, in the Additional disk size text box, enter the desired amount and click Next.

11. On the Precheck page, click Run precheck.

12. Verify the precheck is successful and click Submit.

13. In the navigation pane, click Requests to monitor the scale up request.
