Because you add VMware Aria Operations in your VMware Cloud Foundation environment and connect it to the SDDC management components during the implementation of the Intelligent Operations Management for VMware Cloud Foundation validated solution, replace the certificate of this component if the certificate is expiring or compromised, or some of the certificate attributes, such as the host or the organization name, must be changed.
For information on the certificate management design for intelligent operations management, see Certificate Management Design for VMware Aria Operations for Intelligent Operations Management for VMware Cloud Foundation.
To replace the certificate of VMware Aria Operations, perform the following steps:
- Generate the new certificate by using the PowerShell module for VMware Validated Solutions. See Generate the Certificate for VMware Aria Operations and Import it in VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle for Intelligent Operations Management for VMware Cloud Foundation.
- Add the new VMware Aria Operations certificate to the VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle locker. See Generate the Certificate for VMware Aria Operations and Import it in VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle for Intelligent Operations Management for VMware Cloud Foundation.
- Replace the certificate on VMware Aria Operations.
- If VMware Aria Automation is integrated into your environment, retrust the new certificate. See Update the VMware Aria Operations Certificate in VMware Aria Automation for Intelligent Operations Management for VMware Cloud Foundation.
If you replace the certificate of the clustered Workspace ONE Access instance, you must retrust the new certificate on VMware Aria Operations. See Retrust the New Certificate of the Clustered Workspace ONE Access Instance on VMware Aria Operations for Intelligent Operations Management for VMware Cloud Foundation.
