Activate the Load Balancer Service on the Tier-1 Gateway in the Recovery VMware Cloud Foundation Instance

To provide load balancing for the SDDC components, you activate and configure the load balancer service on the Tier-1 gateway.

Procedure

1. Log in to the NSX Global Manager for the management domain at https://<active_nsx_gm_fqdn>/login.jsp?local=true as admin
2. From the drop-down menu at the top, select the recovery site NSX location according to your value in the VMware Cloud Foundation Planning and Preparation Workbook.
3. Click Networking, and click Load Balancing.
4. On the Load balancing page, click Add load balancer, configure the following settings, and configure the remaining settings according to your VMware Cloud Foundation Planning and Preparation Workbook, and click Save.

   Setting	Value
   Size	Small
   Attachment	Do not attach the load balancer to the Tier-1 as this would result in IP conflicts with the load balancer in the protected VMware Cloud Foundation instance. The load balancer should only be connected in the event of a disaster recovery failover.

5. In the Want to continue configuring this load balancer dialog box, click No.
