Configure resource mappings between the protected and the recovery VMware Cloud Foundation instances to provide failover of the clustered Workspace ONE Access, VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle, VMware Aria Operations, and VMware Aria Automation.

For the following procedure, use the VMware Cloud Foundation Planning and Preparation Workbook.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the management domain vCenter Server at https://<protected_vcenter_server_fqdn>/ui in the protected VMware Cloud Foundation instance as [email protected].
  2. From the vSphere Client Menu, select Site Recovery.
  3. On the Site Recovery page, on the protected site pane, click Open Site Recovery.

  4. In the site pair pane, click View details.

  5. Configure network mappings.

    1. On the main navigation bar, click Site pair.
    2. In the left pane, navigate to Configure > Network mappings.
    3. Click New.

      The New network mappings wizard opens.

    4. On the Creation mode page, select Prepare mappings manually and click Next.
    5. On the Recovery networks page, expand the object trees, select the port groups to map from the protected to the recovery VMware Cloud Foundation instance, click Add mappings, and click Next.

    6. On the Reverse mappings page, select the configured mappings and click Next.
    7. On the Test networks page, click Next.

    8. On the Ready to complete page, click Finish.
  6. Configure folder mappings.

    1. In the left pane, navigate to Configure > Folder mappings.
    2. Click New.

      The New folder mappings wizard opens.

    3. On the Creation mode page, select Prepare mappings manually and click Next.
    4. On the Recovery folders page, expand the object trees, select the virtual machine folders to map from the protected to the recovery VMware Cloud Foundation instance, click Add mappings, and click Next.

    5. Repeat the previous step to create additional folder mappings according to your VMware Cloud Foundation Planning and Preparation Workbook.

    6. On the Reverse mappings page, select the configured mappings and click Next.
    7. On the Ready to complete page, click Finish.
  7. Configure resource mappings.

    1. In the left pane, navigate to Configure > Resource mappings.
    2. Click New.

      The New resource mappings wizard opens.

    3. On the Recovery resources page, expand the object trees, select the clusters to map from the protected to the recovery VMware Cloud Foundation instances, click Add mappings, and click Next.

    4. On the Reverse mappings page, select the configured mappings and click Next.
    5. On the Ready to complete page, click Finish.
  8. Repeat this procedure for the recovery VMware Cloud Foundation instance by using the values in the VMware Cloud Foundation Planning and Preparation Workbook for the Recovery Instance.
