Selecting a rack allows you to plan and allocate a dedicated physical space for the hardware. You also understand the power and networking requirements to make necessary arrangements at your location.
Multi-Rack
You can order multiple racks to handle your increasing workloads. The
Max rack population field allows you to specify the number of hosts you can order for your rack. Your SDDC can accommodate a total of three racks and the number of hosts depends on the SDDC you choose:
- R2 Three-phase: Your SDDC accommodates 27 hosts (26 hosts + 1 standby)
- R2 Single-phase: Your SDDC accommodates 13 hosts (12 hosts + 1 standby)
However, if you want to start with a single rack when ordering your first SDDC and want to increase the capacity later, you can still scale up your future deployments by using the multi-rack feature.
