A VMware Data Services Manager database template is a software blueprint for deploying a specific version of a specific data service. You view and manage database templates from the Database Templates view.
The Database Templates view includes information about the type, version, and number of deployed databases:
You can use the buttons on the upper-left side of the Database Templates view to filter the database templates by those available, published, unpublished, or retired. The CLEAR FILTERS button on the upper-right side of the view clears any filters that you may have applied to the view.
Actions that you can perform on a database template include:
|Publish||Make the database template available for users. New databases can be provisioned from the database template.|
|Unpublish||Revoke the database template from use. databases deployed using the database template will continue to receive updates. New databases cannot be provisioned from the database template.|
|Retire||Permanently remove the database template. databases deployed using the database template will not receive updates. New databases cannot be provisioned from the database template.|
