A VMware Data Services Manager database template is a software blueprint for deploying a specific version of a specific data service. You view and manage database templates from the Database Templates view.

The Database Templates view includes information about the type, version, and number of deployed databases:

  • The Service Type identifies the type of service.
  • The Version column identifies the version of the database.
  • The Status column identifies the current status of the database template.
  • Template Type identifies the type of database template, Provider Uploaded or Predefined.
  • Actions displays a pop-up menu that identifies the actions that you can perform on the database template.

You can use the buttons on the upper-left side of the Database Templates view to filter the database templates by those available, published, unpublished, or retired. The CLEAR FILTERS button on the upper-right side of the view clears any filters that you may have applied to the view.
