VMware distributes the VMware Data Services Manager control plane as an .ova
on Tanzu Network. The vSphere administrator installs this .ova

After the VM is installed, the vSphere administrator configures users that will access the VMware Data Services Manager web console, and creates infrastructure policies to be used by databases.
For information, see Deploying the VMware Data Services Manager Plugin in vSphere Client and Configuring VMware Data Services Manager in the vSphere Client.
The VMware Data Services Manager console is an interactive web interface through which you use to provision, manage, and monitor your databases. The views and actions available from the console differ based on your user role.
