The Edge Compute Stack service allows the deployment of both physical and virtual hosts. Typically, physical hosts are used at an Edge location, but for testing and CI/CD pipelines, a virtual machine based deployment can be used.
Caution:
For production environments, it is strongly recommended to change the default password used for Edge Compute Stack hosts. This can be done by editing the KS.CFG file located in the root of the installation media, or by manually changing the password post-deployment via the host UI or the API. Please note that future releases will include capabilities for scaled management of passwords for Edge Compute Stack hosts, enhancing security and administrative efficiency.
