Install and Configure ABB SSC600 SW VM from ESXi

The steps to install and configure ABB SSC600 SW VM from ESXi are detailed in the following sub-sections.

Prerequisites

• VMware ESXi 8.0 Update 2 or later running on a capable server.

  Minimum compute available:

  • Four or more physical CPU cores.

  • 8 GB or more RAM.

  • 30 GB or more storage (thick provision).

  • PCI passthrough NIC card capable of PTP power profile (IEEE C27.238-2011)

  • PRP (IEC 62439-3, if desired).

• ABB SSC600 SW VMDK files downloaded and extracted (if the VMDK file is compressed as a GZ file, it must still be extracted separately).
