You can change power management features within ESXi that the host hardware provides, adjusting the balance between performance and power. You can control how ESXi uses these features by selecting a power management policy.

  1. Access the ESXi host GUI by providing its IP address. The vSphere Client login screen opens.

  2. Log in as the root user.

  3. From the left Navigator pane, click Manage.

  4. Click Hardware > Power Management.

  5. Confirm that the active policy is High Performance. If not, click Change policy and select High Performance.

  6. Click OK.
