With the Real-Time Audio-Video feature, you can use the local client system's webcam or microphone in a remote desktop or published application. Real-Time Audio-Video is compatible with standard conferencing applications and browser-based video applications. It supports standard webcams, audio USB devices, and analog audio input.
To enable RTAV H.265 hardware acceleration for the Mac Client, perform the following steps in Horizon Agent.
- Enable hardware acceleration of the H.264 decoder by CUDA-capable Nvidia GPUs or Intel Quick Sync Video (QSV) GPUs by setting those GPOs on the agent side. See Real-Time Audio-Video Group Policy Settings.
- Enable hardware acceleration of the H.265 decoder by setting the value of the
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VMware, Inc.\VMware VDM\RTAV EnableH265CodecSupport(REG_DWORD)
registry key to1
. To disable, set the key to0
.
Note: For this feature to work, your environment must meet the hardware requirements for the H.265 decoder.
