Certain remote desktop features that are installed with Horizon Agent can be updated in VMware Horizon releases. You can configure these features to enhance the remote desktop experience for your end users.

These features include Unity Touch, HTML5 Multimedia Redirection, Browser Content Redirection, Geolocation Redirection, Real-Time Audio-Video, Media Optimization for Microsoft Teams, Scanner Redirection, Serial Port Redirection, Windows Media Multimedia Redirection (MMR), Storage Drive Redirection, Client Drive Redirection, Drag and Drop, Clipboard Redirection, Simple Device Orientation (SDO) Sensor Redirection, Pen Redirection, Digital Watermark, Screen Capture, Session Collaboration, VMware Integrated Printing, Location Based Printing, FIDO2 Authenticator Access, URL Content Redirection, UNC Path Redirection, and USB Redirection.

For information about USB Redirection, see Using USB Devices with Remote Desktops and Applications. For information about URL Content Redirection, see Configuring URL Content Redirection.

You can configure settings on the Unified Access Gateway to control which remote experience features are activated or deactivated and also limit the number of people who can access and control the feature allow list. See https://docs.vmware.com/en/Unified-Access-Gateway/index.html for more information. This functionality supersedes any agent-side settings on the virtual channel allow list, which is documented in https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/84156.
