Launch and start a lab in VMware Lab Platform

You use the end-user interface to start a VMware Lab Platform lab.

As a lab user or product service owner, you want to view your product or service in the lab environment in the user interface.

Procedure

1. Use the quick launch URL for your lab and launch the lab. Enter your VMware Lab Platform user credentials in the user interface.

   The authentication provider for login are defined by your organization administrator in the VMware Lab Platform administrator user interface.

   For example, https://www.labplatform.vmware.com/<organization_name>/catalogs/catalog/<lab_name>

2. Select your lab from the lab catalog list.
3. Click the Manual tab to access the lab login details. VMware Cloud Services Provider login details for a SaaS lab are embedded in the lab manual.

   

4. Enter the login credentials and click Start Lab.

   You take the lab and follow the instructions provided in the lab manual to complete the lab. When you complete the lab, click End.

Results

After the lab is completed or ended, VMware Lab Platform does a clean up in the back end and deletes the temporary VMware Cloud Services Provider organization, VMware Cloud Services Provider user, and any other resources created for the lab.
