You can push custom notifications to all or selected logged in users in the end-user interface.
To create a custom message:
Procedure
- Click .
- Enter the details in the Create user message form.
Option Description Title
Name for the custom message.
Content
Custom message content.
Type
You can send the message immediately or schedule a date and time to send the custom message to lab users.
The immediate message type sends an instant message to the user only if the user is active on the user console. To send the message immediately, select the Immediate option from the drop-down menu.
To send the message on a specific date and time, select the Scheduled option from the drop-down menu. The option to select the date and time is populated in the form. Select the date and time to send the message. You can also specify if you want to send the message now or later in the Send When option. For schedule messages, user has to acknowledge the message notification on the system.
Enabled
When selected, custom message notification is activated.
Severity
Severity level for the message. You can categorize the severity of the message as:
Low
Medium
High
Send When
Define the time and date to send the custom message. You can choose to send the message now or at a later time. Use the drop-down menu option to make the selection.
Start Date
If you select the Later option in the Send When field, you need to enter the start and end date to send the scheduled messages.
End Date
Define the time to stop sending the custom message.
Send to
Select the accounts to whom you want to send the custom messages from the drop-down menu.
- Click Create User Message.
Results
Custom user message is created and listed in the User Messages pages. To update and modify the custom message, click the three ellipses next to the custom message.
