What happens after you purchase VMware Live Recovery depends on whether or not you have an existing VMware Cloud Services Organization.

New Customers

If you're a new customer, after you purchase VMware Live Recovery, VMware Cloud Services creates a new Organization on VMware Cloud, and then applies the subscription your new Organization.

Then, VMware Cloud Services sends you a welcome email with a link you can click to join the new Organization.

Existing Customers with One Organization

If you're an existing customer with only one Organization, after you purchase VMware Live Recovery, VMware Cloud Services applies your subscription to your existing VMware Cloud Organization.

Then, VMware Cloud Services sends you a welcome email with useful links. No action is required.

Existing Customers with More than One Organization - "Tenant Hold"

If you are an existing VMware Cloud Services customer and have more than one Organization, then VMware Live Recovery is placed in a state or "tenant hold" on the Broadcom Support portal.

In this situation, you will be notified that you must log in to the Broadcom Support portal and select which Organization to apply your subscription to. (This is applicable to VM purchases and new capacity purchases.

Then, VMware Cloud Services sends you a welcome email with useful links. No action is required.

Other Issues - Contact Support

If you encounter any of these issues:
  • You do not see VMware Live Recovery in your Organization when you log in during onboarding.
  • You do not see a subscription because it was incorrectly applied to the wrong Organization.
  • You receive a tenant hold notification but do not see an Organization to apply the subscription to on the Broadcom support portal.

Note: It can take up to 24 hours after the subscriptions have been applied to an Organization (automatically or through manualy selecting the Organization), before subscriptions are visible in the VMware Live Recovery console.
