Warnings and errors are displayed during the upgrade process. You might need to address problems so the upgrade can finish successfully.

You can view the status of the upgrade from the Upgrade page.

Click View Details in the Upgrade Plan Progress section to get more information about the upgrade status. If the upgrade fails, error information is displayed here.

Errors might also be displayed on the configuration interface for each component.

Controller Cluster

From the Management tab, look for errors in the NSX Controller nodes section.

Host Clusters

From the Host Preparations tab, look for errors in the Installation Status column. If the status is Not Ready, click Not Ready to see more information.

Look for host problems in Hosts and Clusters. For example, a host might need to be manually evacuated before it can enter maintenance mode.

NSX Edges

From the NSX Edges page, click Failed to get more information on failed upgrades.

Service VMs

From the Service Deployments tab, look for errors in the Installation Status column. If the status is Not Ready, click Not Ready to see more information.

To see if host resources are causing upgrade problems, check for hosts errors in Home > Hosts and Clusters.
