Technical Account Managers(TAMs) can now use the VMware Skyline service to perform Skyline-supported product health checks, capture product data, create best practices findings, and provide deeper insights on product optimization. TAM Health Check Reports allow TAMs to gather environmental data automatically.

TAM reports assess product health based on proven VMware best practices, prioritize remediations, and streamline the end-to-end delivery for the TAM. The Health Check Reports examine the VMware infrastructure that supports an organization’s global production environment. TAMs validate technical consistency, review best practices, and identify areas where potential system degradation and bottlenecks can affect system health. The TAM Health Check Report identifies gaps in current practices and areas of concern. The report also provides remediation recommendations based on best practices. Reports delivered by a TAM are accessible on the TAM Reports page and retained for up to 13 months.

  • TAMs can deliver Health Checks at any time within the engagement period and multiple times.

  • You can have multiple TAMs assigned to you. Only the primary Technical Account Manager listed as the Primary TAM can link an engagement.

  • Skyline Advisor Pro automates and consolidates reports, meaning there’s no need for manual data collection or multiple tools. The Health Check Report arrives on a pre-determined schedule.

  • Integrated reporting: TAMs deliver Health Check Reports in Skyline Advisor Pro for a single source of truth.

  • Holistic view: Health Check Reports provide visibility across VMware teams for proactive issue avoidance.

Note:

If your TAM engagement has expired, you will notice an expiry alert with the remaining days of the grace period on the TAM Engagement Details page. Expanding the engagement, you can see the service end date.
