VIO compute support (using NOVA API)

The Server Manager uses NOVA API to discover the compute services components.

Hypervisor and virtual machine discovery via VMware Integrated OpenStack.

The Server Manager:

• Discovers all hypervisors which are part of the VIO.
• Discovers virtual machines running on a VIO hypervisor server.
• Displays the relationship of virtual machines to the VIO hypervisor server.
• Discovers the connection between the physical switch and the hypervisor.

Note: To create connections between a physical switch and a VIO hypervisor, the LLDP Protocol (LLDP) must be enabled on both the physical switch and the hypervisor. If LLDP is not enabled, the connections between the physical switch and the hypervisor are not created.
