The back end passes information processed by the rule set to other programs or devices.

  • The back end of an inflow adapter passes information to a Domain Manager.

  • The back end of an outflow adapter passes information from a Domain Manager to another device or location.

    For example, in Adapter components, if an adapter is designed to move SNMP data to a Domain Manager, its front end communicates with an SNMP device and its back end passes data to a Domain Manager.
