Verifying the presence of the SM_Printer class instance in the Global Manager

To verify the presence of the SM_Printer class:

1. In the Topology Browser Console, verify that the SM_Printer class has been added, as shown in SM_Printer class in the TEST_SA Global Manager.

2. Right-click the printerinstance (CAXTON in this procedure) and select Show Map. The printer instance is displayed in a Map Console, as shown in Map view of the SM_Printer instance.

3. If you have a custom icon to represent a printer, you can modify the icon used to display an instance of SM_Printer. The VMware Smart Assurance Service Assurance Manager Configuration Guide has more information on custom icons for map nodes.
