The Interface Management Policy is a system-level setting for controlling the managed state of interfaces. This setting is available to all System Resource Groups and all System VLAN Tag Groups. By default, it is not contained in any of these groups.
If you do not use this setting, all discovered interfaces are automatically managed. Interfaces exist on hosts, routers, and Layer 3 switches.
If you do not want to manage the interfaces that are part of the systems that are members of a system resource threshold group or a system VLAN tag group, apply the Interface Management Policy setting to the group and set the DefaultManagementStatus parameter to UNMANAGED.
