The MPLS Topology Server imports the same BGP-enabled topology from IP Availability Manager that Network Protocol Manager for BGP imports. The two Managers perform BGP discovery independently.

At times the BGP topology in the MPLS Topology Server might differ from the BGP topology in Network Protocol Manager for BGP. One reason for this discrepancy is that some BGP objects in Network Protocol Manager for BGP are updated more frequently because they are instrumented. When differences occur, resynchronize the two topologies by invoking Discover All in both Managers.

Consult the procedure in “Manual full discovery” on page 149 to invoke Discover All in the MPLS Topology Server.
