As shown in Network Protocol Manager discovery for BGP or OSPF and Network Protocol Manager discovery for EIGRP or IS-IS, Network Protocol Manager represents four Domain Managers. Network Protocol Manager works with IP Availability Manager to discover the physical and logical objects in the physical-transport domain and the routing-protocol domain.
A Network Protocol Manager deployment may contain one or more IP Availability Managers. In addition, an IP Availability Manager instance may consist of just an IP Availability Manager process, or may consist of an IP Availability Manager and an IP Performance Manager or IP Server Performance Manager that are running together as a single process.
