Service Assurance Manager

The Global Manager, part of Service Assurance Manager (SAM), uses analysis information from the Optical Transport Managers (SONET/SDH, PDH, WDM, and WDM-NG Domain Managers) and the IP Managerto correlates and construct the final root-cause and impact analysis.

The Global Console displays alarms and notifications on its Notification Log screen when attached to the XD OTM-IP server.

When attached to one of the OTM Topology servers, the Global Console Topology Browser screen displays element of topology from IP or OTM servers.
