There are three methods to modify user configuration parameters:

  1. Edit the user configuration files and modify configuration parameters.

  2. Issue the dmctl command to modify configuration parameters when the Topology Split Manager is running.

  3. Use the Global Console to modify configuration parameters when the Topology Split Manager is running.

Parameters that are modified by using methods 2 and 3 will be reconfigured to the settings in the user configuration files when the Topology Split Manager is shut down and restarted. Every time that the Topology Split Manager starts up, it sets its configurations in accordance to the settings in the user (and other) configuration files.
