VoIP containment

An object’s Containment view appears in a dialog box that organizes the information for the object into tab pages and tables.

The intent of the Containment view is to allow users to examine detailed component topology of an individual object. The Global Console retrieves the topology information from the Global Manager and from the underlying Domain Managers. If an underlying Domain Manager is not attached to the console, the console automatically establishes a connection to the Domain Manager using the user’s

login ID.

In a VoIP Availability Manager deployment, the Global Console retrieves the related topology information from the Global Manager, VoIP Availability Manager, IP Availability Manager, and VoIP Performance Manager.

In a Containment view, different information is available for different types of objects.
