Using this option, you initiate a VoIP Availability Manager discovery simply by starting VoIP Availability Manager. When the startup completes, VoIP Availability Manager automatically:
-
Adds as topology sources the IP Availability Managers specified in the domain.conf file.
-
Imports device topology from the IP Availability Manager sources.
-
Initiates its own discovery.
When VoIP Availability Manager is registered as a service during installation, you can use the service to manually start and stop VoIP Availability Manager as described in “Procedure for using Option 1 to automatically initiate discovery” on page 39. The default service command for VoIP Availability Manager is described in the VMware Smart Assurance VoIP Availability Manager Installation Guide.
