To map object names, VoIP Availability Manager receives performance data from VoIP Performance Manager and uses that information and VoIP Availability Manager discovery information to build system or cluster name-mapping tables.
Some attributes are needed to bridge the gap between the device-naming schemes used by both VoIP Availability Manager and VoIP Performance Manager. A good example is the ExternalName attribute, which has been added to the VoipCluster, CallManager, and ConvergedCallManager classes to denote the names of these objects as known to VoIP Performance Manager.
