Notifications

ScaleIO notifications lists the key notifications issued by the Server Manager entities.

Class	Event	Description
DataStorageService	Decoupled	The DataStorageService is decoupled from the cluster. The event condition is GroupMembership_Status.
	ManagementServiceDisconnected	The Storage Service is disconnected from the management cluster. The event condition is IsConnectedToMgmtService.
	OscillatingFailures	The Data Storage Service is having oscillating failures. This event is generated for ScaleIO version 2.0 and above only since it is monitored through Alerts API.
	Impaired	The cable connecting the data storage service to the L2 network is down.
StorageClientService	ManagementServiceDisconnected	The Storage Service is disconnected from the management cluster. The event condition is IsConnectedToMgmtService.
	Impaired	The cable connecting the Storage Client service (SDC) Host to the L2 network is down.
StoragePool	CapacityUtilizationAboveHighThreshold	The Storage Pool is having Capacity Utilization Above HighThreshold defined value. This event is generated for ScaleIO version 2.0 and above only since it is monitored through Alerts API.
	CapacityUtilizationAboveCriticalThreshold	The Storage Pool is having Capacity Utilization Above HighThreshold defined value. This event is generated for ScaleIO version 2.0 and above only since it is monitored through Alerts API.
StorageServiceGroup	Inactive	This event is generated when StorageServiceGroup is inactive.
	AllComponentsDown	When all DataStorageService which is part of this StorageServiceGroup is down. The event condition is IsAllComponentsDown.
	AtRisk	When number of working DataStorageService which is part of this StorageServiceGroup is either equal to or lesser than AtRisk value. AtRisk value is defined as total number of DataStorageService - 1.
	Impaired	When there is a fault or performance condition in the VLAN network that is carrying the ScaleIO SDS traffic the impaired event is raised on the StorageServiceGroup. The Impaired events is the Impact of the L2 network Fault/Performance event.
StorageGatewayService	GatewayUnreachable	The Storage Gateway is not reachable.
StorageServiceFaultGroup	Down	Indicates that all members of the FaultSet are down.
PhysicalDisk	DiskFault	Indicates this disk has failed.
	Down	Indicates physical disk is down.
StorageManagementServiceGroup	ClusterDegraded	Indicates that the storage management service group is degraded.
	AllComponentsDown	Indicates that all of the components in the redundancy group are down.
	AtRisk	Indicates that the number of functioning components is below the AtRiskThreshold. In case of ThreeNodes cluster deployment mode value is set to “2” while for FiveNodes cluster deployment mode it will be set to “3”
	ClusterDown	Indicates storage management cluster (MDM Cluster) is down .
	Impaired	When there is a fault or performance condition in the VLAN network that is carrying the ScaleIO MDM traffic the impaired event is raised on the StorageManagementServiceGroup. The Impaired events is the Impact of the L2 network Fault/Performance event. The VLAN network for a given StorageManagementServiceGroup is identified by VLANs the constituent ScaleIO MDM services.
	ReducedRedundancy	Indicates at least one component is not functioning but the total number of functioning components is above AtRiskThreshold.
StorageManagementService	ManagementServiceDisconnected	Indicates MDM disconnected event.
	Impaired	Indicates cable connecting the MDM service to the L2 network is down.
